There were soooooo many wonderful scented roses at Ludwig’s. The smell was overpowering everywhere we walked. I still have the ones from the safari and have been sniffing them regularly. Rainbow Nation doesn’t smell like much but I think I needed to start with a hardy one — I’ll go for one of the heirlooms next time!

I love roses, especially the older heirloom varieties that still have scents. So many now are just bred to be hardy and have lots of blooms.
